The legend returns—reimagined. The Casa Carrillo Pledge Purple Toro is a bold follow-up to the 98-rated Pledge Prequel that took the #1 spot on Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 Cigars of 2020. Crafted by Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, this limited-edition release pays tribute to that iconic blend while introducing a completely new profile built for today’s discerning smoker.
At the heart of the Pledge Purple is a rare, nearly decade-aged Havana-seed Connecticut wrapper sourced from Dunn & Foster in Connecticut—the same prized leaf used in the original 2020 release. Beneath it lies a Mexican binder and a complex blend of Nicaraguan long-fillers from Estelí, Condega, and Ometepe, delivering a rich, medium-to-full-bodied experience.
Expect a dynamic flavor journey from first light to final draw—layers of earth, spice, cedar, and subtle sweetness build in intensity while maintaining balance and refinement. Expertly box-pressed and presented in eye-catching purple packaging, this Toro (6x54) is as visually striking as it is flavorful.
With only 3,500 boxes of 10 produced and released in limited waves, the Casa Carrillo Pledge Purple is a must-have for collectors and fans of premium, small-batch cigars. If you missed the original Pledge, this is your chance to experience the evolution of a modern classic.
