CAO got the name for this cigar from a Pilon, a Pilon is a stack of tobacco leaves meticulously organized in small configurations. This method of natural fermentation maximizes flavor and color of the leaves to deliver a taste and appearance unattainable through other methods.
The CAO blending team opted to apply this time-honored method exclusively to the silky Cuban seed Ecuadoran wrapper of CAO Pilon. The result of this labor intensive process is like no other, rich notes of wood, spice, with a touch of natural sweetness. Be sure to grab this deep, rich, and complex stick from CAO that's sure to please.
A Pilón is a carefully layered stack of tobacco leaves that helps ferment the tobacco to maximize the flavor and color of the leaves. Dating back to 19th century Cuba, this natural method of fermentation delivers a taste and appearance that just can’t be reached otherwise. CAO Pilón uses this time-honored method to give you a cigar with deep, rich colors and unprecedented depth of flavor.
