If you know CAO, you know they have a sparkling reputation from the critics. In fact, this CAO Italia Ciao cigar is a full-bodied stick that brings plenty of spice to the table and is so worthy of trial it was named one of the Best Cigars of the Year by Cigar Aficionado and received a '91' rating! Yes, indeed - this is one spicy meat-a-ball!
Ok, we get it. Italy and great tobacco don't exactly go hand-in-hand, right? Guess what. CAO doesn't care. They're pushing the limits of what you'd expect this is a great example. The folks at CAO packed up in a plane and went to the Benevento region of Italy and found tobacco you'll be hard pressed to find in another premium cigar here in the States. The tobacco itself offers a nice bit of sweetness with some toasty earth notes. Pair that tobacco with a dark Habano-seed wrapper from Honduras and add in some filler tobacco from Nicaragua and Peru.
In the end, you get a cigar that's unbelievably complex and very, very rich. Adding to CAO's already sterling reputation, the Italia received a '91' rating and has been named one of the Best Cigars of the Year by Cigar Aficionado!
