The King Is Dead may not seem the most conventional name for a cigar line, but Caldwell Cigars founder Robert Caldwell is anything but conventional when it comes to making great cigars. Rich and luxuriously smooth, The King Is Dead Broken Sword is a smoke that will bring any cigar smoking occasion to life!
The King Is Dead Broken Sword is a 5.0" x 40 stick available in boxes of 37 or singles that should be considered a premier choice for any time. What makes the Broken Sword such a delightfully satisfying 40 minute or so smoke is a plethora of vintage tobaccos married together with the notoriously difficult to blend Negrito leaf.
Notes of earth, cedar and spice roll over the palate with ease while sumptuous blasts of pepper and creamy chocolate send the taste-buds into cigar smoking bliss. Sweet and spicy nuances emerge from the2008 Dominican Negrito tobacco that is used for the wrapper and portion of the filler. Dominican Corojo leaves from 2006 are also used in the filler, as well as the binder, while a lavish Dominican-grown hybrid HVA 20/20 tobacco is used to complete the filler blend.
The King Is Dead Broken Sword is a cigar that will delight the senses of anyone who loves thick taste and body in a versatile, compact cigar. Add these to your line-up and savor with a dark Dominican Rum for a savory after dinner treat.
