The Caldwell Long Live The Queen Queen’s Club takes the distinctive Cameroon character of the original Queen and gives it a little more room to breathe. A genuine Cameroon wrapper surrounds an Indonesian Sumatra binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers, creating a blend that favors aroma, balance and tobacco complexity over sheer strength. Cameroon is increasingly uncommon on modern premium cigars, and its naturally sweet, spicy character is very much the reason to seek out Long Live The Queen.
At 6" x 56, the Queen’s Club is the broadest of the original round vitolas, bringing more of the Dominican and Nicaraguan filler into the equation while still allowing that Cameroon wrapper to make itself known. Expect aromatic cedar and baking spice alongside roasted nuts, coffee and leather, with touches of caramel and cocoa-like sweetness developing through the smoke. The larger ring gauge gives the cigar a rounder, more leisurely character than the narrower Queen’s Crown or Queen’s Sword, making this a particularly approachable way to explore the blend.
For the smoker who appreciates Cameroon but prefers a more substantial cigar, Queen’s Club is an easy recommendation. It has enough size to deliver a long, satisfying smoke without sacrificing the aromatic sweetness and spice that make this wrapper so appealing. Put a few in the humidor and give them your time—this is the kind of Cameroon cigar that reminds you why the leaf has such a loyal following among seasoned smokers.
