How do I prepare Cafix for a quick cup?
Make a cup in under a minute by stirring Cafix into hot (not boiling) water and customizing with milk or sweetener to taste. It dissolves easily and works well in recipes that call for a coffee flavor without the caffeine.
- Use 1–2 teaspoons per 6 oz of hot water, adjust strength to preference.
- Stir until fully dissolved; add milk, plant milk, or sweetener if desired.
- Mix into cold drinks or chilled desserts—dissolve first in a little warm water for best texture.
What ingredients give Cafix its flavor and are there allergens?
The taste comes from a carefully roasted blend of grains and natural sweeteners like figs and beet root, which create a bold, slightly sweet profile. The recipe is non‑GMO and contains no artificial additives, but always check the tin for updated ingredient or allergen statements.
- Roasted cereal components provide a toasted, coffee‑like backbone.
- Figs and beets add subtle natural sweetness and depth.
- Product labeled non‑GMO and kosher; check packaging for allergen specifics.
Can I use Cafix in cold beverages and recipes?
Yes—Cafix is versatile enough for iced drinks, smoothies, baking, and savory recipes where you want roasted flavor without caffeine. For cold applications, pre‑dissolve the powder in a small amount of warm water to avoid graininess.
- Pre‑mix in warm water, then chill or combine with ice for iced beverages.
- Add to cakes, cookies, or sauces to introduce a roasted, coffee‑like note.
- Stores well in the sealed tin for occasional or daily use.
