The Organic Tablet for Domestic Espresso Machines
Cafetto TEVO® holds a distinction that sets it apart from every other cleaning tablet in the category: it was the first espresso machine cleaning tablet to be certified by an organic certification body. The Mini variant — 1.5g tablets in a 60-tablet jar — is specifically recommended for domestic espresso machines, making it the organic backflush tablet of choice for home baristas using certified organic coffee who want every element of their cleaning routine to match the standard of their beans. TEVO Mini is OMRI listed as complying with the USDA National Organic Program requirements, BFA registered for use with organic coffee, and registered to NSF standard P152 — the same food equipment safety certification that confirms no flavour taint and no machine corrosion.
What TEVO Mini Cleans and Why the Tablet Format
TEVO Mini tablets backflush the group head, portafilter, and delivery pathways of traditional domestic espresso machines with a 3-way solenoid valve — the same machines that use EVO® powder or sachets. The tablet format offers a different convenience than sachets: instead of tearing a sachet each session, you drop a pre-formed 1.5g tablet directly into the blind filter basket. The cleaning formulation is equivalent to EVO® in its organic credentials and performance profile, but in a more compact, dosing-friendly format for daily or weekly home use. At 1.5g, TEVO Mini is sized for domestic machines — for larger or commercial group heads where a higher dose is required, the TEVO Maxi (2.5g tablets) is the appropriate choice.
Triple Certification — OMRI, BFA, and NSF P152
The three certifications on TEVO Mini each serve a different purpose. OMRI listing confirms compliance with the USDA National Organic Program — the standard used by organic coffee producers and cafés to verify inputs across their supply chain. BFA registration confirms compliance with the Australian Organic Standard, the equivalent certification recognised by Australian and New Zealand organic operators. NSF P152 certification confirms the product is safe for use in coffee equipment: no harmful residues, no corrosion, and no flavour interference. Together they make TEVO Mini the most comprehensively certified cleaning tablet in the Cafetto range — and the natural choice for anyone who has invested in certified organic coffee and wants the same rigour applied to machine maintenance.
