The Right Tablet for Your Superautomatic Machine
The Cafetto S15 is a 1.5g cleaning tablet formulated specifically for superautomatic espresso machines — the bean-to-cup machines from Breville, De'Longhi, Miele, Rancilio, Saeco, Schaerer, SCS, Solis, Stentorfield, and Sunbeam that run automatic cleaning cycles triggered by a menu prompt or button sequence. Unlike traditional espresso machine cleaners that require a manual backflush through a blind filter, the S15 tablet is placed in the machine's tablet slot or drawer and dissolves within the automatic cycle, reaching the group head, brew chamber, and internal coffee pathways without any manual intervention beyond following the machine's on-screen prompts.
Effective, Non-Corrosive, Machine-Safe
S15 tablets safely and completely remove coffee oils and coffee residue from superautomatic internal components — the buildup that accumulates with every brew cycle and progressively affects shot quality, machine performance, and the longevity of internal parts. The high-performance formulation is non-corrosive, making it safe for the metals, plastics, and rubber components inside the machines it's designed for. Regular cleaning with the correct tablet for your machine is one of the most effective ways to maintain extraction quality and reduce the risk of blockages or component wear over time. Always refer to your machine manufacturer's cleaning instructions for frequency recommendations and cycle details.
Two Formats — 8-Pack and 100-Tablet Jar
The S15 is available in two formats at Coffee Addicts: an 8-pack for occasional or infrequent cleaning, and a 100-tablet jar for higher-frequency use or for café and office environments running superautomatic machines daily. If you're unsure which Cafetto tablet your superautomatic requires, the key is the tablet weight: the S15 is 1.5g, while the E29 is 2.9g. Check your machine's manual or cleaning prompt — it will typically specify the tablet size or weight, and using the correct size ensures the cleaning cycle runs as the manufacturer designed it. For traditional espresso machines with a manual backflush cycle, the Cafetto Espresso Clean range is the appropriate cleaner instead.
