Cadenhead Original Collection Kilkerran 13 Year Old is an independently bottled single malt Scotch whisky distilled at Mitchell's Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown. Distilled in 2011 and bottled in February 2025, this expression was matured for 13 years, with bourbon and ruby port cask influence contributing to its rich, fruity and savoury character. Bottled at 46% ABV, it showcases Kilkerran's distinctive oily texture, maritime character and subtle smokiness.
Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with slow-roasted beef, smoked brisket, charcuterie, mature cheddar and dark chocolate. Blackberry desserts and rich caramel puddings complement its fruity sweetness.
Tasting Notes: Rich and complex, combining dark fruit preserves, sticky toffee sweetness, gentle campfire smoke and savoury notes, balanced by Kilkerran's characteristic depth.
Nose: Jammy fruits, tobacco, sticky toffee pudding and gentle campfire smoke.
Palate: Slow-cooked brisket, nduja, Turkish delight, rhubarb and bramble jam.
Finish: Dried dark fruits, smoked cured meats, earthy undertones and lingering strawberry sweetness.
