Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey originates from the United States, in the state of Kentucky within the subregion of Frankfort along the Kentucky River. The historic Buffalo Trace Distillery, owned by the Sazerac Company, boasts a distilling legacy spanning over 200 years on grounds where ancient migratory herds once carved paths through the wilderness. Operating continuously as a designated National Historic Landmark, the distillery crafts flagship spirits aged in new charred oak barrels within century old brick warehouses.
Spirit Description
This flagship bourbon exhibits a deep amber colour with rich bronze reflections in the glass. The aromatic nose opens with a complex bouquet of sweet vanilla, mint, molasses, and dark fruit, accentuated by notes of brown sugar, subtle leather, and gentle baking spices. On the palate, the liquid is pleasantly sweet and medium to full in body, delivering balanced flavours of caramel, toffee, candied orange peel, and toasted oak with hints of anise. The finish is long, smooth, and warming, carrying lingering depth marked by dark chocolate, gentle rye spice, and persistent charred oak undertones. This Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey is bottled at an alcohol by volume of 45%.
