Brigham has been Canada's pipe of choice for generations, tracing its roots back to Roy Brigham's Toronto shop in 1906 and built on a reputation for eliminating tongue bite through their patented Rock Maple Insert system. The System Red Sand #36 is the bent apple shape from Brigham's entry-level System series, finished in a rich reddish-brown sandblast that gives the bowl a warm, textured look and a natural grip in the hand. The bowl features Brigham's unique red clay precarb coating to protect the chamber, and the acrylic stem is fitted with the brand's signature maple leaf logo stamp.
The Rock Maple Insert is drilled with a 3.5mm airway and pressure-fitted with a metal cap, drawing moisture and unpleasant flavors out of the smoke as it passes through, drastically reducing tongue bite and pipe gurgle without affecting the draw or flavor of the tobacco. It is a reliable, well-built everyday pipe that punches well above its price point, and a natural choice for Canadian pipe smokers looking for quality they can count on.
