Brave New Spirits Cask Masters North British 13 Year Old 2011 is an independently bottled Single Grain Scotch Whisky distilled at North British Distillery in Scotland's Lowlands. Aged for 13 years and finished in a second-fill Sherry Butt, this single-cask release was bottled by Brave New Spirits for its Cask Masters collection at 50.1% ABV, with an outturn of 721 bottles. The sherry influence complements the whisky's mature grain character with layers of dried fruit, caramelized sweetness, gentle spice and oak.
Food Pairing: Pair with sticky toffee pudding, caramelized nuts, milk chocolate, aged Gouda or roasted pork with a lightly sweet glaze.
Tasting Notes: Rich and rounded, showing dried fruit, toffee and honeyed sweetness alongside warming spice and polished oak.
Nose: Sweet sherry, dried fruit, vanilla, honeycomb and soft cereal notes with a touch of oak.
Palate: Smooth and full, with toffee, brown sugar, dried fruit and gentle cinnamon-like spice balanced by mature grain sweetness.
Finish: Lingering and warming, with sweet fruit, vanilla, subtle peppery spice and drying oak.
