Bones Coffee Company Shark Bite is a medium-roast, low-acid Arabica whole-bean coffee infused with a spiced buttered-rum flavor for a smooth, dessert-like cup.
Made from ethically sourced Brazilian Arabica beans, Shark Bite combines small-batch artisan roasting with a buttery rum-inspired flavoring to create an approachable, low-acidity coffee that works well as whole bean or ground. The 12 oz resealable bag preserves freshness so you can grind for French press, pour-over, or use pre-ground in auto-drip machines. This flavored coffee is keto- and vegan-friendly because no dairy or added sugars are used in the flavoring.
What does Shark Bite taste like and how strong is the flavor?
Shark Bite delivers a medium-roast profile with a gently sweet, spiced buttery-rum aroma and a silky finish. The flavoring is pronounced enough to provide a dessert-style cup while still allowing the underlying Arabica coffee notes—chocolate and mild cocoa—to come through.
- Flavor profile: buttered rum, warm spices, light caramel notes
- Body: medium, smooth mouthfeel with low acidity
- Aroma: sweet, spiced, bakery-like fragrance
- Intensity: flavorful but not overpowering—good for daily drinking
How should I brew Shark Bite for the best results?
You can enjoy Shark Bite using a variety of methods. For a bright, consistent cup use auto-drip with pre-ground coffee; for fuller body and nuanced flavor grind fresh for French press or pour-over. Adjust grind size and brew time to dial in sweetness and strength.
- Auto-drip: use medium grind, standard coffee-to-water ratio
- French press: coarse grind, 4–5 minute steep for fuller body
- Pour-over: medium-fine grind and steady pour to highlight aroma
- Cold brew: coarse grind and long steep (12–18 hours) for smooth low-acid cold coffee
