Bonanto Gastronomic Aperitivo is a fresh and refined aperitif that strikes a beautiful balance between herbal complexity, fruit brightness and velvet smooth texture. It stands out as both a sophisticated standalone sip and an elegant building block for elevated cocktails.
Origins & Craftsmanship
Produced in Spain under the Bonanto label, this aperitivo is built on a base of white wine and enriched with over 30 Mediterranean-origin botanicals including wormwood, basil, bay leaf, thyme, and citrus peel. A natural vegetable colouring (black carrot) gives it its ruby hue, and the sugar content is deliberately kept lower than many comparable aperitifs—enabling a cleaner finish. The result is a versatile, modern take on the classic aperitif tradition.
Tasting Profile
Nose: Lively and aromatic—fresh citrus peel (orange, lemon) rises alongside ripe cherry, basil leaf and subtle ginger spice.
Palate: Smooth yet vivid—the cherry and red fruit core is framed by herbal notes of bay and thyme, a splash of citrus brightness and just enough bitterness to add depth and interest.
Finish: Medium-long and elegant—a gentle herbal bittersweet edge, faint red fruit skin, light spice, and a refreshing mineral lift inviting another sip.
