This Pinot Noir hails from the United States, specifically California, blending fruit from three prestigious regions: Sonoma County, Monterey County, and Santa Barbara County. Böen is part of the Copper Cane Wines & Provisions portfolio, created by winemaker Joseph Wagner, a fifth-generation Napa Valley winemaker. Wagner brings a legacy of bold, expressive winemaking, aiming to showcase California's diverse terroirs through approachable, yet layered wines.
Wine Description
The 2022 Böen Pinot Noir displays a deep ruby red colour with brilliant clarity. Aromas of ripe cherries, dark berries, and baking spice rise from the glass, layered with subtle hints of rose petal and toasted oak. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with velvety tannins and balanced acidity, offering flavours of black cherry, plum, clove, and vanilla. The finish is long and smooth with a touch of earthiness and cocoa.
Food Pairing
This wine pairs beautifully with herb-crusted pork tenderloin, grilled salmon, or mushroom risotto. The ripe fruit and spice notes also complement aged cheeses and charcuterie. A perfect match to enhance the wine's complexity.
