Black Stallion Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir 2023 is a cool-climate California Pinot Noir drawn from vineyards in the Santa Lucia Highlands. Fruit grown in gravelly loam gives the wine concentrated character, while bright acidity and a plush mouthfeel shape the 2023 release at 14.5% ABV.
The aroma opens with earthy notes, ripe black cherry, and raspberry. Baking spice follows across the palate, supported by lively acidity and soft, velvety tannins. The combination keeps the wine expressive and rounded, balancing ripe fruit with the freshness associated with this coastal-influenced growing region.
Serve it slightly cool and allow a little air in the glass before drinking so the fruit, spice, and earthier tones can open together. This single 750ml bottle offers a generous but composed Pinot Noir profile, with bright structure and a supple finish suited to an unhurried meal or an evening pour.
