Black Sage Vineyard Merlot is a remarkable red wine that reflects the deep-rooted vines of the vineyard. After being aged for 18 months in French and American oak, this wine showcases intense aromas of both red and dark fruit, accompanied by a subtle hint of plum and vanilla. On the nose, this Merlot presents bold notes of jammy plum and blueberry, elegantly intertwined with smooth vanilla and a touch of smokiness. The palate delivers a similar flavor profile, characterized by rich and ripe fruit flavors, complemented by a blend of spices and pleasant smoky vanilla undertones. The tannins are gentle, contributing to a velvety mouthfeel, and the finish is long-lasting, with the flavors lingering well beyond the last sip. To enhance your dining experience, this wine pairs exceptionally well with grilled meats, roasted root vegetables, pork roast, mushroom burgers, and firm cheeses.
