Berry Bros. & Rudd Ruadh Mhor 2010 is a heavily peated 15 Year Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled at Glenturret and bottled as part of Berry Bros. & Rudd's Crafted in Cask collection. Distilled in 2010, the whisky matured in a butt before receiving an Oloroso Sherry cask finish and was bottled from Cask #8027 in 2025 at 55.5% ABV. Only 579 bottles were produced.
Ruadh Mhor showcases the smoky side of Glenturret, combining powerful peat with rich Sherry-cask influence. Sweet fruit and coal smoke lead into caramelised walnuts, red berries and dried fruit, while the palate develops layers of butterscotch, charred wood, raisins and jammy fruit. A long, smouldering finish brings sweet smoke and salted caramel.
Food Pairing: Pair with smoked brisket, barbecued pork, aged cheddar, roasted walnuts, dark chocolate or rich dried-fruit desserts.
Tasting Notes: Rich and heavily peated with coal smoke, red berries, dried fruit, roasted nuts, butterscotch and salted caramel.
Nose: Coal smoke surrounds caramelised walnuts and red berries, with dried fruit, roasted nuts and rich Oloroso influence.
Palate: Dense and oily with coal smoke, butterscotch and charred wood, followed by raisins, jammy red fruit and earthy ash.
Finish: Long and smouldering with persistent sweet smoke and a final touch of salted caramel.
