BenRiach Batch 15 2005 12 Year Old Cask #2682 is a limited single-cask Speyside single malt Scotch whisky crafted from peated malt. Distilled in 2005 and matured for 12 years in Port Pipe #2682, this distinctive expression was bottled in 2018 at a robust 53.9% ABV. Limited to only 729 individually numbered bottles, it brings together BenRiach's smoky spirit with the rich fruit influence of Port maturation, creating a powerful combination of red fruit, baked citrus, dark chocolate, tobacco and warming peat smoke.
Food Pairing: Pair with smoked pork, barbecue ribs, dark chocolate, berry tart, aged cheddar or roasted walnuts.
Tasting Notes: Rich and intensely characterful, combining ripe red fruit and baked citrus with walnut, dark chocolate, tobacco and layers of peat smoke.
Nose: Bramble and baked apple pie mingle with burnt orange and redcurrant, supported by aromatic pastry notes and gentle smoke.
Palate: Baked orange and redcurrant develop alongside rich walnut oil, dark chocolate, liquorice and tobacco leaf, framed by warming peat.
Finish: Long and smoky, with lingering dark chocolate, red fruit, liquorice, tobacco and drying Port-cask richness.
