BenRiach Batch 15 1995 22 Year Old Cask #7383 is a limited single-cask Speyside single malt Scotch whisky produced from peated malt. Distilled in 1995 and matured for 22 years in Oloroso Sherry Butt #7383, it was bottled in 2018 at a natural cask strength of 51.1% ABV. Limited to only 563 bottles, this distinctive release combines mature sherry-cask richness with BenRiach's smoky peated character, bringing together orchard fruit, roasted nuts, savoury herbs and lingering smoke.
Food Pairing: Pair with smoked pork, roasted chestnuts, aged cheddar, apple pie, dark chocolate or herb-roasted game.
Tasting Notes: Mature and complex, combining waxy orchard fruit and rich Oloroso influence with roasted chestnuts, savoury herbs and smoky applewood.
Nose: Waxy apple and stewed pear layered with roasted chestnut, baked sourdough and a gentle touch of sweetness.
Palate: Roasted chestnut and smoked applewood develop alongside butternut squash and sage, balancing fruit, smoke and savoury depth.
Finish: Long and warming, with baked apple pie, lingering smoke, roasted nuts and gentle sherried richness.
