Bartender's Secret Sauce USDA Organic Demerara Syrup is a 16 oz premium cocktail and kitchen syrup made from organic demerara sugar to deliver rich caramel and molasses notes for drinks and desserts.
This USDA Organic Demerara syrup is designed for bartenders, home mixologists and cooks who want deeper flavor than ordinary simple syrup. Made from organic demerara sugar, it brings warm caramel and gentle molasses tones to Old Fashioneds, tiki drinks, coffee beverages and baking recipes. The 16-ounce bottle gives you more syrup per purchase, and the formula is USDA Organic, Gluten Free, Non-GMO and OU Kosher with no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.
How does this syrup change an Old Fashioned or whiskey cocktail?
Using demerara-based syrup adds a richer, toasted-sugar character than plain cane syrup, complementing bourbon, rye and aged spirits without overpowering them. The caramel and molasses notes round out the spirit’s oak and vanilla, creating a fuller mouthfeel and more complex finish.
- Adds deeper caramel and molasses tones to brown spirits
- Smoother sweetness that blends with bitters and citrus
- Ready-to-use 1:1 syrup consistency for consistent bar pours
Can I use it for coffee, tea and desserts?
Yes — this syrup works well in cold-brew, iced coffee, espresso drinks and tea, as well as in glazes, sauces and baked goods. Its pronounced flavor profile enhances drinks and desserts where a hint of caramel or molasses is desired without adding granulated sugar texture.
- Stirs easily into hot and cold beverages for uniform sweetness
- Great for syruping pancakes, glazing fruit, or enriching custards
- Adds depth to chocolate and spice-forward desserts
What makes this syrup different from ordinary simple syrup?
Unlike basic simple syrup made from white sugar, Demerara syrup uses larger-cooked sugar crystals that retain more molasses, resulting in darker color and richer flavor. The product is prepared to a pourable syrup consistency so it performs like a traditional cocktail syrup with added flavor complexity.
- Made from organic demerara sugar for natural caramel notes
- Prepared at a cocktail-friendly viscosity for accurate dosing
- Free from artificial flavors, colors and preservatives
How should I store and use the 16 oz bottle for best results?
Keep the bottle sealed and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight; refrigeration after opening will extend freshness. Measure with a jigger or bar spoon for cocktails, and use the syrup straight from the bottle for coffee and finishing sauces.
- Store sealed at room temperature; refrigerate to prolong shelf life
- Use bar tools for consistent cocktail ratios
- Shake lightly if any settling occurs before pouring
