Barrell Craft Spirits continues to stretch boundaries with this formidable Black Label release. The blenders secured a magnificent cache of eighteen-year-old Kentucky whiskey and married it with ancient Canadian stocks aging up to twenty-five years. These mature casks demand absolute precision. Cabernet Sauvignon barrels impart a crucial structural backbone alongside dark-toned warmth. Sauternes casks, sourced directly from Bordeaux, supply a soft, golden richness that perfectly counterbalances the heavy wood tannin. Dry red wine influence merges seamlessly with the honeyed nectar of French dessert wine, forging a spirit of spectacular depth.
Bottled uncut at an imposing 125.24 proof, the whiskey preserves its massive, unadulterated weight. It's a pour that demands your full attention. Layers of stewed dark berries, sticky caramel, and savory toasted oak integrate into a highly intricate profile that continuously shifts in the glass. The massive proof drives the flavor deep into the palate without scorching it. This blend stands as a testament to meticulous cask management and unbridled blending ambition.
- Meticulously blended from ultra-aged North American stocks.
- Dual-finished in rich Cabernet Sauvignon and lush Sauternes wine casks.
- Bottled completely uncut at an intense cask strength.
