Balvenie DoubleWood 17 Year Old is the result of a meticulous aging process that brings together traditional oak maturation with a concluding period in European Oloroso sherry casks. Over 17 years, the spirit develops nuanced notes of oak and vanilla, with an additional phase in sherry barrels that imparts a distinct layer of spice and depth. This careful progression gives rise to a whisky that stands out for its layered complexity and rich character.
The aroma reveals a pleasing balance of oak and vanilla, while a cascade of flavors—ranging from toasted almonds to subtle caramel—unfolds on the palate. This mature spirit is an excellent addition for collectors and connoisseurs alike. Enhance your selection with a bottle that promises a sophisticated profile at every sip.
