Ballykeefe Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is a single-estate Irish whiskey produced by Ballykeefe Distillery in County Kilkenny, Ireland. Made entirely from barley grown and harvested on the family farm, the whiskey is triple distilled in bespoke copper pot stills and bottled at 46% ABV. The distillery's field-to-glass approach gives this expression a distinctly grain-driven character, combining rich malt, caramel sweetness, warming spice, dried fruit, and soft oak.
Food Pairing: Roast pork, smoked salmon, Irish cheddar, glazed ham, roasted almonds, apple tart, bread pudding, and dark chocolate.
Tasting Notes: Rich and malty with a silky mouthfeel, balancing caramel sweetness and earthy grain character with dried fruit, warming spice, and soft oak.
Nose: Warm caramel toffee, soft oak vanilla, malt cereal, and a hint of coconut.
Palate: Rich earthy malt with sweet and spicy notes of liquorice, cloves, dried fruit, and green cardamom.
Finish: Long and malty, developing cloved orange and lingering aniseed.
