Crafted at the picturesque Vila Dobrușa estate in the historic Drăgășani wine region of Oltenia, Romania, Avincis Negru de Drăgășani represents a modern renaissance for one of the country's most prized indigenous red grape varieties. A crossing between Negru Vârtos and Saperavi, Negru de Drăgășani thrives in the clay-limestone soils overlooking the Olt River, benefiting from warm days and cooling breezes that cultivate deep concentration and crisp natural acidity. Aged in French oak barrels, the 2021 vintage beautifully balances artisanal precision with unique regional character.
Food Pairing: Roasted duck breast, grilled lamb chops, venison stew, wild mushroom risotto, and aged hard cheeses.
