This limited-edition version of Aviation American Gin is a spirited tribute to Wrexham AFC’s return to the Championship in English football. The gin inside remains the same crisp, smooth spirit fans love, but the packaging is deeply infused with club pride — making it both a usable bottle and a collectible keepsake for supporters of the club and the sport.
Origins & Craftsmanship
-
Aviation American Gin (based in Oregon) partnered with Wrexham AFC, a Welsh football (soccer) club, to produce this commemorative edition in 2025.
-
The celebration revolves around Wrexham’s historic promotion back to the Championship, marking a new chapter in the club’s progression.
-
The bottle design retains Aviation’s signature profile but is overlaid with custom graphics: a textured “patch”-style label featuring Wrexham’s crest, a red strip stamp down the neck honoring the Turf Pub (a local landmark), and patterned elements inspired by Wrexham’s promotion-winning jerseys.
-
The release is packaged as a commemorative gift set, often including extras like a bottle scarf, QR-code access to exclusive content and sweepstakes, and thematic cocktails associated with the collaboration.
-
The gin itself is unchanged in formula — all the botanical balance (juniper, citrus, lavender, etc.) remains intact — making the value lie in the design, symbolism, and limited nature of the edition.
Tasting Profile
Since the liquid is the standard Aviation American Gin, one can expect its familiar profile:
-
Nose: Juniper-forward, with citrus peel, cardamom, lavender, and herbal lift.
-
Palate: Balanced and smooth, with clean juniper, complimentary botanicals, and a subtle citrus backbone that supports the gin without overwhelming it.
-
Finish: Crisp, dry, with lingering herbal and citrus notes — a refined gin well suited for sipping or classic cocktails.
Because the base spirit is unchanged, the edition is ideal for mixing in signature cocktails or displaying as a unique club-themed “matchday” bottling.
Sport It Commemorates
This bottle celebrates association football (soccer) — specifically, Wrexham AFC’s promotion and return to the English Football League Championship. It honors the club’s sporting achievement and the broader fan culture surrounding football in Wales and England.
