The Arturo Fuente: Since 1912 book by Assouline is a magnificent tribute to one of the most influential families in cigar history. Part of Assouline's prestigious Ultimate Collection, this oversized luxury volume chronicles more than a century of passion, perseverance, and cigar making excellence, tracing the Fuente family's remarkable journey from humble beginnings to worldwide recognition.
The story begins with Don Arturo Fuente, whose pursuit of the American Dream and dedication to traditional Cuban cigar craftsmanship laid the foundation for a lasting legacy. Through the generations of Don Carlos Fuente Sr., Carlos "Carlito" Fuente Jr., and Cynthia Fuente, the family's commitment to quality and innovation has helped shape the modern premium cigar industry, with a fourth generation preparing to carry that tradition forward.
A central part of the book explores the creation of the legendary Fuente Fuente OpusX, the groundbreaking Dominican puro that challenged long held beliefs about tobacco cultivation in the Dominican Republic. Its introduction marked a defining moment in cigar history and helped establish the Fuente name as a symbol of luxury and innovation.
Written by acclaimed author and cigar authority Aaron Sigmond, the book features over 125 illustrations and exclusive photography by Ian Spanier. Additional contributions from actor and director Andy García and Ciro Cascella, Executive President of Tabacalera A. Fuente, offer further insight into the people, passion, and traditions behind the iconic brand.
Beyond its remarkable storytelling, this edition is a collectible work of art. The oversized, hand bound volume features authentic hand tipped cigar bands and is presented in a handcrafted faux leather clamshell box, making it an extraordinary centerpiece for any cigar lounge, library, or Arturo Fuente collection.
Each purchase from Assouline's Ultimate Collection also includes complimentary white gloves and a signature canvas tote bag, adding to the presentation of this exceptional collector's edition.
