The Arturo Fuente Añejo Reserva No. 49 Maduro is one of the most coveted cigars in the world, offering unmatched richness, rarity, and craftsmanship. Wrapped in a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro aged for an incredible five years in cognac barrels, this cigar showcases the artistry and vision of Carlos Fuente. Beneath the luxurious wrapper lies a blend of vintage Dominican tobaccos, delivering a smoke that is bold, smooth, and deeply complex.
The Añejo line was born out of adversity in the late 1990s when Hurricane Georges devastated the Dominican Republic and Fuente’s prized Opus X tobacco fields. In response, the Fuente family turned to aged Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrappers, creating a cigar that quickly became a legend in its own right. Today, the Añejo No. 49 stands as a masterpiece of flavor and innovation.
Expect notes of dark chocolate, cedar, spice, and a subtle sweetness from the cognac barrel aging—making every draw an indulgent experience. With a medium-to-full bodied profile, the No. 49 offers balance, strength, and complexity that appeals to serious cigar enthusiasts worldwide.
Produced in extremely limited quantities, the Arturo Fuente Añejo No. 49 Maduro is released only twice a year—around Christmas and Father’s Day—making it one of the most difficult cigars to find. If you’re fortunate enough to see it in stock, don’t hesitate to secure a box for your humidor.
