Ardbeg Ardcore Committee Release is the 2021 Ardbeg Day limited edition — an Islay single malt created with roasted black malt roasted to the extreme, presenting notes of charcoal and sweet smoke on the nose, with potent notes of aniseed and dark chocolate on the palate, described as tasting like ‘biting on a spiky ball.’

Frequently Asked Questions
What is roasted black malt and how does it differ from standard peated malt?
Standard Ardbeg uses heavily peated barley with peat-derived phenols. Roasted black malt is barley roasted to extremely high temperatures for bitter, dark, charcoal, and coffee character similar to dark brewing malt. Ardcore combines both for its uniquely intense profile.
