Produced in the heart of Italy, this wine hails from the renowned Chianti Classico region of Tuscany. The Antinori family has a storied winemaking heritage spanning 26 generations and over 600 years, having officially joined the Florentine Vintners' Guild in 1385. The historic Pèppoli estate, where vineyards have existed since the Middle Ages, reflects a philosophy of crafting approachable, fruit forward wines that authentically represent the local terroir.
Wine Description
Pèppoli displays a bright ruby red colour. The nose is vibrant and expressive, featuring fresh notes of cherries, raspberry jelly, and pomegranate juice, complemented by floral hints of violets and geraniums. On the palate, the wine is lively and dynamic with a juicy mid-palate and an energetic entry. It is medium bodied with soft, sweet tannins and a long, savory finish.
Food Pairing
This versatile Chianti Classico is ideally suited for classic Italian fare such as pasta with Bolognese sauce, homemade pizza, or lasagna. It also pairs exceptionally well with grilled vegetables and cured meats.
