All The Bitter Fig & Walnut Bitters is a rich, deeply spiced non-alcoholic bitter handcrafted by former sommeliers from the renowned restaurant The French Laundry. Originally introduced as a limited seasonal release, this zero-alcohol (0.0% ABV) blend became a permanent fixture due to popular demand. It features a warm, full-bodied flavor profile that balances the sweetness of ripe black mission figs with the earthy, savory richness of black walnuts and sharp bitter roots. Made with ten organic botanicals—including gentian root, dandelion root, allspice, clove, and black peppercorn—the blend uses a non-GMO vegetable glycerin and purified water base accented by a touch of balsamic vinegar. Because it contains real walnuts, it is important to note that this product contains tree nuts and is not safe for anyone with nut allergies.
This versatile, alcohol-free mixer is an excellent way to add complexity and gravitas to alcohol-free or traditional expressions of classic cocktails like the Old Fashioned, Manhattan, and Whiskey Sour. For a simpler preparation, you can easily stir four to six dashes into plain sparkling water for a quick spiced soda or add a splash directly to your morning coffee. Beverage experts recommend garnishing drinks made with this blend with a dried apple wheel instead of a traditional orange twist to perfectly complement its autumn-forward notes. Beyond the glass, these bitters also double as a unique culinary ingredient, offering a delicious flavor boost when drizzled directly over vanilla ice cream.
