Nobody does Corojo tobacco quite like Julio R. Eiroa and his team at JRE Tobacco. Eiroa and company are renowned for molding Honduran Corojo tobaccos into lavishly rich, precision-crafted throwbacks to Cuba’s golden age of cigars. The Aladino Habano Vintage Selection Toro is a beautifully rewarding example, delivering intense flavor and a silky smooth character.
The Aladino Habano Vintage Selection Toro is a tantalizing 6” x 50 Toro dressed in a Honduran-grown Habano wrapper leaf. This stout smoke is finished off with Authentic Corojo binder and filler tobacco from the Eiroa family’s farms in the Jamastran Valley. Set aside at least an hour or so to savor this impressively constructed Honduran Puro.
The vintage Honduran tobaccos provide a smooth, medium-bodied expression loaded with cedar, hazelnut, and white pepper flavors. Cinnamon toast and blackberry notes teasingly appear during the medium-bodied smoke, growing with each puff. A touch of citrus adds zing to the peppery and nutty grand finale.
The Aladino Habano Vintage Selection Toro is a smooth, refined offering that reminds connoisseurs of classic Cuban favorites that combine Corojo-seed tobacco with Habano wrappers. Eiroa and his team have once again proven Honduras is home to some of the best cigars available today.
