New World by AJ Fernandez is a joint effort between Fernandez and his father Ismael that struck just the right chord with cigar lovers, offering a collection of smooth and tasty smokes at a great value. Fernandez has doubled down to create his most ambitious New World blend yet: New World Dorado. Bold yet smooth, complex yet approachable, the New World Dorado Robusto continues to rake in acclaim, including a 94-rating and appearances on “Cigars of the Year” lists.
The New World Dorado blend is constructed around a binder and filler mixture made of Nicaraguan tobaccos, most of which are grown on one of AJ Fernandez’s tobacco farms he dubbed Dorado or “Gold.” A Nicaraguan Sun Grown Habano wrapper covers it all, making the 5 ½” x 52 Dorado Robusto an irresistible hour or so smoke.
The New World Dorado Robusto presents a beautifully refined medium-to-full-bodied expression with a prolific flavor profile. Leather, coffee, pepper, earth, nut, and spice flavors highlight the deeply complex experience. Oak and herbal notes slither into the mix, along with zesty citrus and berry nuances. The smoke maintains a silky, creamy texture throughout its final stages, concluding with sweet spice and toast bursts.
The New World Dorado Robusto is one of AJ Fernandez’s best, delivering a smoke that is wildly complex yet easy to love with its smooth and tasty character. Take all the flavors today’s cigar smokers love, and you will surely find them in these gems. So, pour some Nicaraguan rum, spark up a New World Dorado, and settle in for a delightfully Nicaraguan escape.
