Privada Storytelling
If the original New World Maduro was AJ's thunder, then the New World Connecticut is his quiet confidence. Created in collaboration with his father, this blend takes the elegance of a U.S. Connecticut wrapper and builds it on a foundation of strength, depth, and heritage. This is not your typical shade-wrapped cigar—it’s got backbone, complexity, and the kind of structure you'd expect from a master blender with something to prove. At Privada, we seek out the Connecticut cigars that push the genre forward without losing their grace. This is that cigar.
Flavor Journey
The first draw opens with buttered toast and a gentle crackle of white pepper. Vanilla cream and almond rise through the retrohale, while hay and cedar keep the base warm and balanced. As the cigar progresses, cinnamon sugar and floral tea tones emerge, with sweet cream softening the edges. The final third leans richer, offering graham cracker, nutty depth, and a soft mineral echo that rounds out the experience. Elegant, but never boring. Light, but far from empty.
Why It Belongs in Privada
Because New World Connecticut proves that mellow doesn’t mean mild. AJ took the most classic wrapper in the game and infused it with soul from Nicaragua, sweetness from Brazil, and fire from Mexico. The result is a Connecticut cigar that lives in the middle—welcoming to newcomers but layered enough for veteran palates. In Privada, we crave cigars that teach, surprise, and evolve. This one does all three.
