AJ Fernandez has emerged as one of the most trusted cigar makers in the business, with each successive release seemingly topping the other in taste, texture and pure gratification. And the AJ Fernandez Enclave Broadleaf Robusto is certainly no different, proving to be one of his best efforts yet!
While Fernandez has used Broadleaf wrappers before for other manufacturers, the 5” x 52 Enclave Broadleaf Robusto is surprisingly the first AJ Fernandez-branded cigar to wear a tasty Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. Hidden beneath the darkly-hued wrapper leaf are a Nicaraguan binder leaf and a blend of sumptuous Nicaraguan Pueblo Nuevo, Esteli and Jalapa filler leaves.
Upon first light, the Enclave Broadleaf Robusto proves a solid 50 minute or so extravaganza filled with lavishly entertaining earth, cedar and pepper flavors. Lively spice notes constantly inhabit the palate as the full-bodied smoke charges its way towards a grandiose finale unlike any cigar AJ Fernandez has created to date.
With an intensely satisfying character and endless flavor streaming out of an impeccable draw, the Enclave Broadleaf Robusto by AJ Fernandez is a dream-come-true for fans of both Broadleaf tobacco and AJ Fernandez cigars. At once bold, complex and refined, this beauty is a must for all cigar connoisseurs.
