Owned and operated by the Fernandez family, Agricola Ganadera Nortena S.A. or AGANORSA is one of Nicaragua’s top tobacco suppliers and home base for the legendary Aganorsa tobacco leaf. The leaf born of Nicaragua’s rich volcanic soil is used in a host of aficionado favorites, yet nowhere is it on fuller display than with the Aganorsa Leaf Signature Maduro Corona Gorda.
The Fernandez family developed a loyal following for featuring the Aganorsa leaf in their Casa Fernandez cigars. Casa Fernandez was renamed the Aganorsa Leaf brand, yet the cigars remain as boldly satisfying as ever. The Aganorsa Leaf Signature Maduro Corona Gorda is a 6” x 46 Nicaraguan Puro with a luxuriously dark shade grown Corojo 99 Maduro Jalapa wrapper. The blend tucked underneath is loaded with Aganorsa tobaccos from Esteli and Jalapa. These include Medio Tiempo leaves, which grow near the top of a tobacco plant and offer incredibly rich body and taste.
The Signature Maduro Corona Gorda leaps into action with big waves of pepper and espresso notes. Earthy undercurrents seep onto the palate as hints of chocolate, leather, and spice float happily along. Cedar lurks in every puff, bringing balance and elegance to the deeply complex, full-flavored smoke. The journey concludes with a long and rewarding parade of flavors.
The Aganorsa Leaf Signature Maduro Corona Gorda is a perfect platform for the robust yet smooth character of Aganorsa tobacco and a top pick for Maduro and Nicaraguan tobacco fans. However, the limited nature of the tobaccos used for the Signature Maduro blend means the cigars are only released a few times a year. So, stock up on these rare treasures today!
